Indoor Leisure Opportunities
Let the Gym Come to You
If you can’t go to the gym, let the gym come to you! Try setting aside an area in your house to use specifically for an indoor workout. Exercise equipment is available to buy online and there are plenty of choices. You can choose from home-suitable tread mills, exercise bikes and rowing machines. For strength exercise, consider investing in a set of dumbells or kettle bells. If you struggle for motivation at the gym (let alone a home gym) then you might want to turn to Youtube for some inspiration. Lots of personal trainers are turning to Youtube to offer home based sessions as well as showcasing exercise routines that anybody can enjoy from the comfort of their home gym.
Have a Clear Out
Being stuck at home for hours on end means that you become more familiar with the stuff you have around the place. Why not use this time as an opportunity to have a clear out? They say a clear desk equals a clear mind, and that can be said for the home environment too. Decluttering your home is a great way to have a little mental reset. Out with the old, in with the new! Think about donating your unwanted items or even selling them on Ebay, Gumtree and other sales platforms.
Get Creative in the Kitchen
So the good news is, at the time of writing, we’re still allowed to go to the supermarket. And everyone has to eat. In terms of eating there are generally two types of people. Those who eat to live, and those who live to eat. So for the latter of those two types, whilst we can’t go out and enjoy food in a fine restaurant, let’s get creative in the kitchen. The internet is the perfect place to find brand new recipes, either from chefs you’re familiar with or random food bloggers who like trying stuff out. Eat well, live well!
